Kippy's Farm Bielefelders
If you combine the Amrock, Cuckoo Maline, New Hampshire and Wyandotte, you might end of with something like the Bielefelder. A German poultry breeder did just that in the 1970's to create this large UBER breed. Greenfire Farms was the first to import Bielefelders into the United States. Our stock is from Greenfire Farms.
We chose the Bielefelder because of our desire for one flock and one breed. Thus, an all around bird like the Bielefelder was the perfect choice. They excel in all the important categories with large meaty carcasses, huge eggs, "auto-sexing" function, gentle temperaments and gorgeous feathering.

Bielefelders are also consistent layers of very large brown eggs. They lay in quite impressive numbers and start laying at a young age.
Cool Fact: The Bielefelder is an "auto-sexing" chicken. When the chicks are born, you can easily and immediately distinguish male from female based on their feather color pattern. This trait is passed on with each generation.
